The journey is part of the dinner.
Keep the search close to the group’s actual plans unless there is a good reason to travel. Count the trip from the meeting to the table, not just the distance between pins.
A few directions from the earlier guide.
The published guide explored several kinds of dinner. These examples show the range, rather than a ready-made answer for every group.
Manhatta
A Financial District direction when keeping the dinner downtown serves the group.
For your brief: Check the particular room, group menu and current availability.
Le Bernardin
A Midtown direction for an evening where the food is central to the occasion.
For your brief: Confirm the room and format suited to your party, including dietary needs.
Il Buco
A cellar setting to explore for a smaller gathering with character.
For your brief: Check access, enclosure, table layout and the actual seated capacity.
A table for twenty takes a real inquiry.
Twenty people does not automatically require a buyout. It does require clarity about whether everyone sits together, how the menu works, who can hear whom, and what happens if the headcount changes. That is where the sourcing starts.
ABOUT THIS EDITION
Adapted from the published January 2026 guide. This is an editorial starting point, not a confirmed reservation or a new Seal endorsement. Current opening, room setup, minimums and availability need checking for your brief.
